Your Basketball Recruiting Profile Should Pass the Phone Test

Make Your Game Easy to Find — Wolfe Sports, 2026–2027 Ohio Basketball Preview

A recruiting profile might look excellent on the computer where it was built. Open it on a phone, away from the account that created it, and the experience can be different. A broken film link or hidden contact detail can stop the conversation before basketball enters it.

Give the page a basic phone test. Can someone immediately find the player's name, Ohio high school, graduation year, position and contact information? Can they identify the player in the video without hunting through the description?

Check the path to the film

Open every link while signed out. Check whether the intended viewer needs permission or another account. Watch the opening of the film and make sure the jersey identifier is clear. Remove links that lead to an old team or an unfinished page.

Keep updates factual and dated. Separate a previous season's statistics from current information, and make sure the school and graduation year agree across the profile and video description. An accurate, uncluttered page is easier to use than a crowded page full of claims.

Before sending the link, ask someone unfamiliar with the profile to find the film and contact details. Their hesitation will show you what needs attention. The goal is simple: make the basketball easy to find.
