The Monarchs capped off a dominant season that solidified their place among the top Division I basketball programs in Central Ohio for their age group â a true testament to their chemistry, skill, and relentless work ethic.

Kellen Carter once again led the charge, delivering an outstanding 25 points and 8 rebounds, setting the tone with his scoring ability, athleticism, and leadership on both ends of the floor. Myles Forrester added 10 points and 8 assists, showing poise beyond his years as the Monarchsâ floor general and making smart plays throughout the championship run.
Defensively, AJ Shroyer and Sully Stackhouse made their presence felt every possession, combining their toughness and communication to frustrate opposing guards and force key turnovers. Both players also chipped in offensively, proving their value as two-way threats. David Lian came up clutch when his team needed it most, draining a huge three-pointer that helped Marysville extend its lead and close out the title game.
Key contributors like Cole âMoneyâ Schott, Mason Potts, and Adam Idrissi continued to shine in their roles, providing energy, hustle, and unselfish play that defined the Monarchsâ success. Even with Hudson King and Javy Lopez sidelined for the final, their leadership, practice effort, and commitment throughout the season were instrumental in helping this team reach the top.
Over the course of the season, the Monarchs built a reputation as one of Central Ohioâs toughest and most well-rounded teams. Their unselfish ball movement, defensive discipline, and ability to close out games against top competition earned respect from coaches and fans across the region. They finished the year with a remarkable 20-2 record, and a combined 40-5 middle school record â achievements that place them firmly among the elite programs in the area.
This groupâs success goes beyond the scoreboard. It represents the rise of a new era for Marysville basketball â one built on fundamentals, teamwork, and a belief in one another. As they prepare to take the next step into high school competition, expectations are high that this talented class will continue to compete for championships and bring pride to the Marysville community for years to come.
