Larry 'Foxy' Fox: A Marysville Sports Legacy Built Through Service
Updated: 2 days ago
Marysville sports has a story worth telling in Larry 'Foxy' Fox. His connection to the Monarchs reaches beyond any single team or season, including coaching and the support work that helps a program function.
A January 2022 Marysville Journal-Tribune report described Fox's involvement in high school sports as beginning in 1970, with roles in coaching, officiating, and football support. The school's athletic Hall of Fame lists Larry 'Foxy' Fox in its 2008 induction class as a coach.
His equipment work is part of that broader history. The Journal-Tribune's 2021 coverage specifically referenced his responsibility for keeping track of the football team's equipment. It is a useful reminder that a program depends on work that spectators may never see.
Wolfe Sports wants to give that kind of contribution room on the page. A community's sports history includes the people who prepare, organize, maintain, teach, and keep showing up as generations of athletes pass through.
The public record establishes a long connection to Marysville athletics. The personal details that could make this story even richer belong to the people who experienced it: former players, coaches, coworkers, and families with a specific memory to share.
If Foxy helped you, taught you, or made a season memorable, we want to hear the story. Tell us what happened, when it happened, and why you still remember it. Photos you own or have permission to share are welcome.
Send your memories to info@wolfesportsrecruiting.com. We want to preserve the people and moments that make high school sports matter.
