Marysville’s final home football game of the 2026 regular season brought a chance to recognize a senior class whose place in the program reaches well beyond one Friday night. Olentangy Berlin won 28–6 on October 16, but the evening also belongs to the Monarchs and families marking the end of a meaningful chapter.
How the game unfolded
Berlin scored 14 points in the opening quarter and led 21–6 at halftime. Marysville’s six points came in the second quarter. The Bears added seven in the third, and neither team scored in the fourth. Marysville moved to 3–6, with an October 23 trip to Hilliard Darby remaining on its regular-season schedule.
Every senior deserves a place
This class includes Colin Wimmers, Mamour Saidy, Trevor Helmuth, Keefer Stackhouse, Brycen Luelleman, Shane Brickner, Evan Beany, James Stevenson, Landon Wimmers, Rivers Hodges, Aloysius Roseburrough, Owen Harbold, Deacon Henry, Carter Dunn, Carter Shank, Brady Watkins, Cooper Foughty, Allen VanHassel, Reagan O’Dell and Oscar Olding.
Those names represent different positions, responsibilities and paths through high school football. Senior recognition should make room for all of them. The back who carries the ball, the lineman who creates the opening, the specialist who handles his assignment and the teammate preparing all week deserve to hear their names with the same appreciation.
A thank-you from Wolfe Sports
To the seniors: thank you for being part of Marysville football. The practices, early mornings, long school days and time spent with teammates are part of what makes this milestone matter. Some memories will come from the biggest plays. Others will come from a bus ride, a locker-room laugh or a coach who pushed you to improve.
To the families, coaches and community: thank you for supporting this class. Senior Night is also a moment for the people who have watched these players grow.
One more regular-season opportunity
The Darby game gives Marysville another chance to compete together. Enjoy that time. There is still football to play, and there is already plenty about this senior class worth celebrating. Congratulations to the Monarch football Class of 2027.
