Week 6 Ohio High School Football recap: Marysville Shuts Out Dublin Jerome 21–0


September 26, 2025 — Dublin, OHMarysville delivered one of its most complete performances of the season on Friday night, going on the road and earning a dominant 21–0 shutout victory over the Dublin Jerome Celtics. With the win, the Monarchs improve to 3–3 and secure their second straight victory, gaining momentum as conference play heats up.

This matchup featured physical defense, explosive rushing plays, and disciplined execution — all trademarks of Marysville football at its best.

Game Summary

Marysville controlled the line of scrimmage from start to finish. The Monarchs’ defense pitched a shutout against a Jerome team known for its balanced attack, forcing punts, limiting first downs, and owning the trenches. Offensively, Marysville leaned on its senior-led run game, producing 178 rushing yards and adding timely plays through the air to sustain drives.

Special teams also contributed with key returns, including an important kick return by Colin Wimmers that helped set up field position.

Jerome struggled to find rhythm against Marysville’s physicality, finishing with limited yardage and never reaching the red zone in the second half.

Marysville’s defense swarmed all night, communicating well, tackling efficiently, and closing down space with speed.

What’s Next

Marysville (3–3) returns home for a major OCC Cardinal test against Olentangy (5–1) on Friday, October 3. The Braves are coming off a dominant 54–7 win over Thomas Worthington, and bring one of the top offenses in Central Ohio.
