Week 4 Ohio High School Football: Hilliard Bradley Tops Marysville 42–14

September 12, 2025 — Marysville, OHWeek 4 brought a tough test for the Marysville Monarchs as they hosted the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars in a non-league matchup. Bradley’s explosive offense and timely defensive stops proved to be the difference, handing Marysville a 42–14 loss and moving the Monarchs to 2–2 on the season.

Despite the score, Marysville continued to show effort, physicality, and strong individual performances on both sides of the ball — particularly from its junior core and senior leaders.


Game Overview

Hilliard Bradley struck quickly and maintained momentum throughout the night, capitalizing on big passing plays and consistent red-zone execution. Marysville responded with stretches of strong defensive stands and a productive run game, but the Jaguars’ offensive rhythm was difficult to slow.

Offensively, the Monarchs produced 263 total yards, highlighted by big gains from senior JJ Henry and junior Brady Carper, as well as two-way contributions from multiple upperclassmen.

Defensively, Marysville recorded 66 total tackles and 6 tackles for loss, with several standout individual efforts.

The Monarchs will look to regroup and refocus heading into another OCC-style challenge in Week 5.

Looking Ahead

Marysville (2–2) will aim to rebound in Week 5 as they travel to face Hilliard Davidson (3–1) on Friday, September 19. Davidson enters with a powerful run game and a disciplined defense, setting up another physical, OCC-style matchup.
