High School Basketball Season his here! Welcome to the official Marysville Monarchs Boys Basketball Varsity Preview. The 2025–26 Monarchs enter the season with one of their most experienced and well-rounded teams in years. With seven seniors leading the group and several talented underclassmen ready to make an impact, Marysville has the pieces to compete with anyone in Central Ohio. The mix of leadership, skill, and depth makes the Monarchs strong contenders for both the OCC title and a district championship this season.
2025–2026 Schedule Preview and Last Season Recap
Coming off a 13–10 campaign, including a 7–3 finish in OCC play and a second-place conference standing, the Monarchs return with momentum and a renewed hunger. With improved depth, strong offseason development, and a roster capable of scoring at all three levels, Marysville looks primed to make a major leap forward. This season, expectations are clear: compete for the OCC crown, make a deep tournament run, and continue to build Marysville into a top Division I programs in central Ohio
Marysville Varsity Basketball Schedule

2025–2026 Roster
Marysville continues to reload with talent, just two years removed from producing OCC Division I Player of the Year Jason Moore and the high level scorer first-team All-District selection CJ Collins. This season, the Monarchs turn the reins over to 6'4" senior Cole Brewer, a skilled, competitive leader who sets the tone on both ends of the floor.
Cole Brewer 6'4 (2026) - Brewer, a Second Team OCC selection and a top-90 player in Ohio, returns as the centerpiece of a senior-heavy roster. down hill scoring guard that plays with an effort and intensity that is tough to match. He can score from all levels and is an early candidate for OCC player of the year. Cole is a great player and great leader that is getting looked at by all levels of college basketball and can really play.

Alongside Brewer are six other seniors who bring toughness, experience, and strong leadership to the program. Their work ethic and commitment have helped shape the standard for this year’s team.
Brenna Adkins - downhill scoring fast explosive G That can do it all and has the potential to put up some big numbers this season. stats or not Adkins affects the game in a variety of ways.

Drew Chaffin - A sharp shooting g that is 6'3 and long. He has battled injuries and if finally healthy and making a difference. Chaffin has the potential and we are looking forward to seeing a full healthy season.

Owen Graves - The Dennis Rodman of the group. He does all the little things and can actually score it pretty well from all levels but will get you extra buckets on put backs and extra possessions with his hustle. He can guard multiple positions. Marysville is not that big overall so he presence and skills are key

Ben Coil - A left handed sharp shooter that is long and skilled. With Marysville's High scoring offense coil will have the chance to put up some big numbers this coming season.
Levi Crouso - Possibly the best athlete on the team. Crouso can get down hill and shoot it at a high percentage. Typically he is going to be on the faster and quicker players on the floor.

Dawson Taylor - 6'8 big guy with touch and skills that came back from injury right at the start of the season so he will be getting in game shape but Marysville will need to make a run in the OCC and districts

Marysville will also feature two freshmen in the starting lineup that are some of the top players for their grade:
Kellen Carter - (2029) 6'3
Myles Forrester - (2029) 5'7
Notables: With such a strong senior class there are several very tough players within the program that can play at a very high level.

Coaching Staff
Now in his fifth season at Marysville, Coach Mark Tinklenberg — the 2023 Division I OCC Coach of the Year — continues to lead the program with strong direction and a proven track record of success. With this year’s roster and the staff’s experience winning at a high level, Marysville is built to make a run this season and for many years to come.
