Breaker Heller 2026–27: The Westland Guard Whose Game Deserves a Longer Look
Breaker Heller's case for attention does not depend on a ranking. His league recognition, state award and a recent independent scouting report already provide a substantive starting point.
OCC Division I • 2026–27 season outlook • Research checked October 21, 2026.
The recognition is documented
The official OCC workbook lists Heller as a junior first-team Capital Division selection. The 2026 All-Ohio release names him a Division I honorable mention with a listed 13.4-point average.
Those are the state awards figures. The earlier Wolfe Sports team preview used a separate MaxPreps sample for its broader statistical line. Keeping the sources distinct prevents the different reporting sets from becoming an inaccurate combined profile.
A recent scouting report adds an attributed perspective
In a September 4, 2026 feature, NY2LA's Dan Gibbs identified Heller as a Westland senior point guard in the 2027 class. Gibbs highlighted his ability to create offense for himself and teammates, along with active on-ball defense.
That is an outside evaluator's assessment, not an observation being claimed by Wolfe Sports from unseen film. The report provides a useful reason to watch full possessions and examine how those qualities appear in the high school setting.

The team context makes the next chapter interesting
The league workbook also lists junior Antwon Pollard on the first team and sophomore Jaydenn Deedat on the second team. Heller's story therefore sits inside a group with other recognized younger contributors, subject to the current school roster.
Westland beat Groveport Madison 45–44 in a district semifinal before losing to Berlin in the final. Those games establish both a finished close result and a subsequent challenge that the next team will have to earn the chance to address.
Watch Heller's decisions after he creates an initial advantage. Does the next pass reach a teammate in time to use it? Can the offense remain organized when transition is unavailable? Those are useful viewing questions for a guard whose scoring total tells only part of the story.
The September report discussed his recruitment at that time; this feature does not turn that dated assessment into a claim about today's offer list. The basketball itself gives readers plenty to follow as Westland's new season takes shape.
