For Aloysius “Al” Roseburrough, the focus has shifted from making the next play to working toward his return.
According to an update shared with Wolfe Sports, the Marysville senior's recovery is improving, and he hopes to be back in time to compete again. That is encouraging news for a multisport athlete whose contributions extend beyond Friday-night football.
Roseburrough has already shown his ability to help the Monarchs' passing game. In Marysville's September 18 matchup with Upper Arlington, he caught four passes for 44 yards, leading the team in receiving yardage that night. Those are the kinds of contributions his teammates would welcome back when he is ready.
His baseball future is an equally important part of this story. Roseburrough appeared on Marysville's 2026 varsity baseball roster, and Wolfe Sports considers him an area baseball player worth following closely. A healthy return would give him the opportunity to build on that experience as his senior year continues.
An injury can interrupt an athlete's season without defining the athlete's future. For Roseburrough, the positive development is that his recovery is moving forward. His hoped-for return remains a goal rather than a confirmed clearance date.
Everyone following his progress has reason to keep rooting for him. The hope is straightforward: continued improvement, a healthy return when appropriate and another opportunity to contribute to the sports he enjoys.
