Marysville Basketball Prep Rallies Late to Take Down Undefeated UA Jones

Marysville Basketball Prep delivered one of its most impressive performances of the season Tuesday night, knocking off an undefeated Upper Arlington Jones squad with a hard-fought 37–31 victory. This was a high level middle school hoops game to watch for the class of 2027.

Marysville found itself down five points with just three minutes remaining, but the team responded with poise, energy, and confidence when it mattered most.

Middle School Hoops Late-Game Surge Fuels Comeback

The comeback was sparked by Caden Jude, who caught fire from beyond the arc down the stretch. His timely three-pointers ignited the offense and swung momentum firmly in Marysville’s favor.

As the pressure mounted, Drew Hughes delivered strong finishes at the rim, while Talan Wolford stepped up defensively and knocked down key free throws to help close the door late.

Dominant Effort on Both Ends

Mitchell Evans was asked to play the entire game and answered the call with a standout performance on both ends of the floor. His rebounding presence and consistent effort set the tone physically, helping Marysville control possessions during critical moments.

A True Team Win

This victory was a complete team effort, with valuable contributions throughout the lineup from Brock, Deacon, Carter, Stack, AL, Rivers, and Dylan. Every player played a role, whether through defense, energy, ball movement, or effort plays that don’t always show up in the box score.

What’s Next

With the win, Marysville Basketball Prep has now won two straight games and continues to build momentum as the season progresses. The team will look to keep things rolling when they host Worthington McCord at home on Thursday.
