The class of 2027 defender has become a major source of disruption for the Monarchs, producing plays that push offenses backward and give his teammates a chance to get off the field. His latest published totals—9.5 sacks and 16 tackles for loss—show how much impact he is making up front.

For a team working through a demanding schedule, that production deserves its own spotlight. Saidy is putting together a season worth celebrating, with clear growth from his junior year and meaningful contributions in both wins and difficult losses.

A Senior Season With Real Growth

Marysville’s current roster lists Saidy as a senior defensive end and tackle wearing No. 3, at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds. His coach-entered statistical profile, last updated October 5 and checked October 8, reports:

Statistic — 2026 senior season

Reported games — 7

Total tackles — 41

Solo tackles — 26

Assisted tackles — 15

Tackles per game — 5.9

Tackles for loss — 16

Sacks — 9.5

Forced fumbles — 1

The year-to-year comparison makes his progress especially clear. In 10 reported games last season, Saidy finished with 31 tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks. Through seven this fall, he has already surpassed each of those totals.

His sack total is more than three times last year’s, and his tackles for loss have increased fourfold. Those comparisons support the breakout description without needing a ranking or an inflated recruiting claim.

A Big Performance When Marysville Needed It

One of Saidy’s strongest nights came in Marysville’s 15–10 victory over Lancaster on September 4.

He recorded 12 tackles, six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. In a game decided by five points, that kind of disruption was a substantial contribution to the win.

It was a performance that showed the breadth of his value. He was involved in finishing tackles, stopping plays behind the line and creating a turnover opportunity—not simply collecting one highlight.

Still Producing Through a Tough Stretch

Saidy continued making plays in Marysville’s latest game, a 31–8 loss to Olentangy on October 2. He contributed three tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack.

Marysville trailed 31–0 at halftime but held Olentangy scoreless afterward. Saidy’s individual production was part of a night when the defense continued competing despite a difficult first half.

Owen Harbold led the team with 13 tackles, Carter Dunn added 10, and Deacon Henry finished with nine. James Stevenson contributed seven solo tackles and a blocked punt. Saidy’s pressure gives that group another way to affect a possession before the ball reaches the linebackers or secondary.

Technique Behind the Production

A published Schwartz Athlete Spotlight evaluation provides additional context for Saidy’s defensive work. The evaluator highlighted his initial burst, ability to maintain leverage against the run and variety of pass-rush techniques.

The report also described his ability to stay balanced through contact, disengage from larger blockers and pursue plays from the backside. Those are the evaluator’s observations; they help explain why his impact can extend beyond the sack column.

That distinction matters. A defender can help a teammate make a tackle by controlling his side of the formation or forcing a runner to change direction. Saidy’s growing statistical production gives those broader evaluations a strong season résumé to accompany them.

More Opportunities Ahead

Marysville hosts Thomas Worthington on October 9, followed by Olentangy Berlin on October 16 and a trip to Hilliard Darby on October 23.

Those games give Saidy more opportunities to finish his senior regular season strongly. For college evaluators, his updated film and production offer a concrete body of work to review. No specific college offer or commitment was verified for this feature.

Saidy has already given Marysville a great deal to recognize. His growth is measurable, his disruption is substantial, and his senior season is becoming one of the Monarchs’ strongest individual stories.
