Moving from coaching one group to covering athletes across several sports creates a different challenge: how do you expand the reach while still giving each athlete useful attention?

Growing Sports Coverage While Keeping Athletes at the Center

Our Struggle/Weakness: Time

This was created to continue helping athletes after our physical coaching years were done.

What has happened? We went from being focused on 10–12 guys for two years at a time, which is very special in terms of development, to now having access to so many athletes who want and deserve attention, promotion, and support.

Now we are trying to figure out how to manage it all. We have so much content and so many great players we want to promote that we are constantly battling quality vs. quantity. We have built so many connections that we fully plan to always be in the basketball space. But basketball has also led us to so many great athletes in all sports.

Be on the lookout for random sports education, along with the start of promoting other sports in different ways. Especially high school baseball, football, golf, soccer, and softball.

Basketball will always be a main focus. We are still working toward building one of the largest highlight databases in the country, making it easy for coaches to access free content of great players. And honestly, this can happen for any sport.

Give each update the context it needs

A useful submission includes the player's name, school, sport, graduation year, event date and a source for the result. Organized information gives us more time to explain what happened and why it matters.

Keep improvement visible

Coverage should follow more than one big game. Updated film, a changing role and progress across a season can tell a more complete story. Basketball remains a central focus as Wolfe Sports builds connections in football, baseball, soccer, golf and softball.

Player information and evaluation

Have player information, game film, verified statistics or a recruiting update to share? Contact Wolfe Sports for coverage or player evaluation consideration.
