Bunsold’s 40–29 Championship Win: Roll the Full Game, Keep the Trophy
Updated: 2 days ago
Some games deserve more than a highlight reel. This one earned the full replay.
From the Vault: Marysville Bunsold’s Class of 2029 beat Upper Arlington Jones 40–29 to win the 2025 Division I Central Ohio Gold Bracket championship, finishing the season 20–2. This is a look back at that eighth-grade season, not a current high school result.
The original Wolfe Sports recap credits Kellan Carter with 25 points and eight rebounds and Myles Forrester with 10 points and eight assists. David Lian’s fourth-quarter three gave the title run another signature moment.
Watch the possessions between the baskets, too: AJ Shroyer and Sully Stackhouse’s defensive work, the communication, and the contributions that kept the group connected. Hudson King and Javy Lopez were sidelined for the final, according to the original recap, but their work helped build the season.
Championship basketball has room for leading scorers and the teammates who make the next possession possible. That is the community we want to cover.
