Bath 2026–27 Basketball: Replacing Recognized Production After a 7–2 WBL Finish
2026–27 Ohio boys basketball outlook • WBL • Research checked October 21, 2026.
The verified starting point
2025–26: 17–9 overall, 7–2 WBL.
Logan Markley was first-team All-WBL; Dagan Hawkins was second team.
The 2026 All-Ohio release lists Markley as a senior averaging 17.8 points.
A successful season creates a different assignment
Bath finished behind only Shawnee and Van Wert in the league. Seven conference wins and 17 overall victories establish that the Wildcats were part of the WBL's leading group, rather than a team looking for its first foothold.
That history makes the next question more specific. How does a successful program replace the responsibilities of older players while keeping the habits that produced those wins? Simply carrying the previous record into a new prediction would miss the personnel transition.
The class information changes the outlook
Logan Markley earned first-team All-WBL and Division IV All-Ohio special mention. The state release lists him as a senior. Dagan Hawkins, a second-team league selection, is also listed as a senior on the archived 2025–26 roster.
Bath's awards extended to Josiah Clark on the third team and Zach Welsch as an honorable mention. The awards page establishes their recognition, but it does not establish class standing. They should not be counted as confirmed returners merely because they appear below the first team.

The next contributors must be evaluated in real roles
The previous roster lists Daniel Cole, Connor Core and Eli Ripley as juniors, and Levi Grime, Evan Clark, Brayden Brostrom and Woodson Mikesell as sophomores. Those are dated roster references, subject to the school's current participation list.
For readers, the revealing moments will come when a possession needs organizing: who brings the ball into an action, who makes the next pass and who is trusted when the clock shrinks? Bath's new scoring distribution may take time to emerge. The measure of progress is whether the next group can keep producing sound possessions against the WBL's top end.
