Austin Jones: Class of 2028 Basketball Spotlight and OCC Recognition
Updated: 1 day ago
Austin Jones is part of Wolfe Sports' Class of 2028 basketball spotlight series. Our original 9/28 post recognized Austin as an Ohio player to follow as another high school season approaches.
Documented OCC recognition
The Ohio Capital Conference's official 2025–26 all-league record lists Austin Jones of Westland for Honorable Mention in the Capital Division. This gives the spotlight a confirmed season and award context.
The Class of 2028 identifies the graduation group in the Wolfe Sports source post. The conference award is recognition from the completed 2025–26 season; the next season will add a new set of performances to evaluate.
What to follow in the junior season
For the Class of 2028, the next season can show how a player handles more responsibility and builds on earlier varsity experience. A useful review looks for repeatable decisions and a clear role across several games.
Include full-game film with a short highlight introduction. As performances are added, identify the opponent, date and source of the statistics. That gives coaches and readers a more useful record of development.
Keep the player story current
Wolfe Sports welcomes current film and updates for Austin Jones. A coach or family can send changes to the player's school, role, academic information or recruiting status, together with the relevant source. We use those details to keep coverage organized as the season moves forward.
