Marysville Bunsold: Class of 2030 Basketball Closes Out Exhibition Schedule With Dominant Win Over Olentangy Berkshire

ree

The Marysville Bunsold Class of 2030 boys closed out their exhibition slate on Wednesday night with a complete team performance, rolling past Olentangy Berkshire 96–52. It was the kind of win that showed exactly who this group is: deep, unselfish, disciplined, and built around playing for one another.

From the opening tip, Bunsold relied on their trademark ball movement and defensive intensity. Even after falling behind 17–14 early, the Monarchs didn’t panic. Instead, they responded with an 11-0 run, setting the tone for the rest of the night and proving once again that their strength lies in their togetherness.

Bunsold carried a 25–19 halftime lead, then broke the game open in the second half. Up 34–24, the team exploded for an 18–3 run, pushing the lead to a point where Berkshire couldn’t recover. The third quarter was the team’s best stretch of basketball—an 18–5 scoring margin, fueled by an impressive 8-for-10 shooting spurt.

A True Team Effort on Both Ends

Bunsold’s balance was on full display:

  • 38-for-65 on two-pointers as the team attacked the paint relentlessly

  • 19 steals and four blocks from a defense that was fast, connected, and disciplined

  • 49 rebounds, controlling the paint all night

  • 25 assists on 43 made baskets, one of the most impressive passing performances of their fall schedule

This was complete basketball in every phase of the game.

Individual Contributions Inside a Team Win

Even with the focus on team execution, several players stood out within the system:

  • Tayte Keller – 17 points, including two threes that sparked momentum

  • Freddie Paul – 14 points, 12 rebounds, physical presence on both ends

  • Vinny Zabloudil – 14 points, strong finishing and energy

  • Erion Nelson – 12 points, 5 assists, pace setter for the offense

  • Zane Mosier – 10 points, efficient touches around the rim

  • Luke Hensel (7), Titus Meginness (6), Cole Fuchs (5), Owen Jergens (3), Niko Huddleston (3), and Tyler Ketchum (3) also added scoring as the entire roster contributed

This game wasn’t about one or two players—it was about all 12 guys doing their jobs and playing for the group.
