Week 9 Central Ohio High School Football Recap: Olentangy Berlin Rolls Past Marysville 41–7

In a pivotal OCC Cardinal matchup, the Marysville Monarchs fell to Olentangy Berlin 41–7 on Friday night at Bears Stadium. Berlin’s balanced offense and physical defensive front controlled the game from start to finish, dropping Marysville to 4–5 on the season.

The Bears improve to 4–5, keeping their postseason hopes alive as they prepare for a major test against Olentangy next week. Marysville will look to regroup quickly with one regular-season game remaining in the ohio high school football schedule.

Olentangy Berlin started fast, capitalizing on early field position and executing both through the air and on the ground. The Bears’ offense found its rhythm early, while their defensive unit limited Marysville’s big-play opportunities.

Marysville showed flashes — particularly from junior playmaker Colin Wimmers, senior workhorse JJ Henry, and linebacker Carter Dunn — but Berlin’s ability to sustain drives and finish possessions proved too much to overcome.
