Trinity High School introduced Frankie Hughes as its new head boys basketball coach in a July 17 announcement.
The school identified Hughes as a Cleveland native and Garfield Heights graduate who scored more than 1,000 high school points and helped the Bulldogs reach consecutive state Final Fours. His playing background includes Missouri, Duquesne and professional basketball in Indonesia.
Trinity’s announcement described his coaching approach as emphasizing discipline, accountability, relationships and effort. The appointment brings a former local high school player back into a Northeast Ohio coaching role as the Trojans prepare for 2026–27.
