The 2025–26 season was a true test for Marysville Basketball.

Competing in the OCC Division I is no small task. Night in and night out, you’re facing size, athleticism, depth, and programs loaded with talent. There are no easy games. Every week feels like a tournament environment.

That kind of schedule doesn’t just build teams — it builds toughness.

Marysville embraced that challenge all season long.

The OCC Division I Challenge

In this league, you’re seeing high-major athletes, state-ranked teams, and programs with deep benches and experience. Every opponent brings something different:

  • Physical post play

  • Elite guard play

  • Length and athleticism on the wings

  • Pressure defense

  • Structured half-court offenses

It forces you to grow up quickly.

For Marysville, the season wasn’t just about wins and losses — it was about competing at the highest level available locally and preparing players for what’s next.

Full Season Highlights

This gives coaches and programs a full look at the season — not just clips, but real OCC Division I competition.

Cole Brewer (2026) – Size, Skill, Upside

Cole Brewer, 6'4", Class of 2026, took major steps this season.

Playing in the OCC Division I means you’re not putting up empty numbers. Every bucket is earned. Cole showed his ability to score at multiple levels, stretch the floor, and compete physically against strong competition.

He’s a late bloomer in many ways, and in today’s recruiting landscape that can be challenging — but the upside is real. Programs that value length, feel for the game, and growth potential should take a serious look.

Kellan Carter (2029) – One of the Top Freshmen in the Midwest

Kellan Carter (6'3", Class of 2029) is special.

As a freshman, he stepped onto the floor in one of the toughest conferences in Ohio and didn’t blink. He was the MVP of the Hells Kitchen Tournament in Michigan last summer and has continued to prove he belongs in high-level conversations.

His size, confidence, and scoring ability as a freshman put him on a different trajectory.

Brennan Adkins – Leadership and Production

Brennan Adkins brought consistency and leadership to this group.

In a league like the OCC, you need players who don’t get rattled. Brennan competed every night and was a key piece in keeping the group steady through the ups and downs of a demanding schedule.

His experience and effort set the tone.

Thank You, Seniors

A special thank you to the senior class:

  • Cole Brewer

  • Brennan Adkins

  • Owen Graves

  • Dawson Taylor

  • Levi Crouso

  • Drew Chaffin

  • Ben Coil

You represented Marysville the right way. Competing in one of the toughest divisions in Ohio is not easy, and you did it with pride, toughness, and commitment.

You laid the foundation.

Building Forward

The experience gained this season matters. Playing against elite Division I-level programs sharpens everyone. It exposes weaknesses. It builds confidence. It prepares players for the next level.

No shortcuts. No easy nights. No excuses.

Just hoopers.
