Both teams rose to the occasion, showing composure, toughness, and teamwork in two thrilling victories.
The 7th-grade Monarchs faced adversity early, falling behind by 8 points at halftime, but stormed back with a dominant second-half surge to claim a 38–34 comeback win. Their defensive pressure and never-quit mentality continue to set the tone for what has been a remarkable season.
The 8th-grade squad took the court next in a battle that lived up to the hype. In a game that featured back-and-forth runs and playoff-level intensity, the Monarchs maintained control for much of the night and hung on down the stretch for a dramatic 45–44 road victory.
Kellen Carter once again led the way with a stellar all-around performance, finishing with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. His leadership and ability to take over in key moments proved crucial to the Monarchs’ win.
Myles Forrester played an outstanding defensive game, locking down Hilliard Memorial’s talented point guard while adding 2 points and 5 assists to round out a strong floor game. Hudson King stayed steady and productive as always, contributing 9 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals, showcasing his trademark hustle and court vision.
