The Marysville Bunsold 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team (Class of 2028) continued their strong finish to the season with a convincing 49–28 win over Dublin Grizzell on Wednesday night. Despite being without standout Dayton Storr, the Monarchs showed depth, balance, and determination in one of their most complete team performances of the year.
Leading the charge was Kale Strickland, who turned in a near triple-double with an incredible stat line—18 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals. Strickland’s ability to control the tempo, score efficiently, and create for others set the tone for Marysville’s dominant night.
Henry Brown also put on a stellar performance, contributing 15 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds, showcasing his playmaking ability and two-way impact.
Back in action, AJ Gratz returned to form with a powerful 10 points and 10 rebounds, recording another double-double and anchoring the paint with toughness and control.
Noah Koski rounded out the Monarchs’ offensive attack, adding 4 points and 8 assists, once again proving to be the floor general who makes everyone around him better.
The win improves the Monarchs’ record to 14–5, setting up an exciting finale to an already impressive season.
The team will close out their regular season Thursday night at home vs. Finland Middle School.
