Marysville Bunsold vs. Dublin Eversole (1/22/24): Monarchs Stay Hot with 49–39 Victory

The Marysville Bunsold 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team kept their winning streak alive last Thursday night with a strong 49–39 win over Dublin Eversole. The Monarchs controlled the game from start to finish, showing balance, teamwork, and toughness on both ends of the floor.

Dayton Storr led the charge with a dominant performance, scoring 20 points and grabbing 8 rebounds, continuing to prove why he’s one of the most explosive scorers in Central Ohio.

Kale Strickland filled the stat sheet once again, finishing with 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, playing with his usual composure and all-around impact.

After missing time earlier in the season, AJ Gratz’s full return gave the Monarchs an immediate boost inside. He recorded a powerful 11 points and 10 rebounds, securing yet another double-double and bringing his trademark intensity back to the lineup.

Henry Brown was steady as ever, contributing 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Noah Koski set the tone defensively with 5 steals and added 5 assists to keep the offense flowing.

Landon Ice, Kaden Shook, and Turner Smith all got on the board, adding valuable scoring and minutes off the bench to round out the team effort.

This special group continues to impress as they near the end of their season, improving their record and maintaining their reputation as one of the top 8th grade teams in Central Ohio.

The Monarchs will wrap up their schedule this week with a road game at Dublin Grizzell on Tuesday followed by their home finale against Finland on Thursday.
