Marysville Bunsold Takes Down Delaware Dempsey for Second Straight Win

The Marysville Bunsold 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team (Class of 2029) continued their strong early-season form with another dominant home victory, defeating Delaware Dempsey 54–34 on Wednesday night. The win marked the Monarchs’ second straight after last week’s 41–25 road win over Olentangy Hyatts, as the team continues to find rhythm and confidence heading into the heart of the schedule.
It’s been a total team effort for this talented Marysville squad, with all 12 players contributing to the recent run of success.
Dayton Storr has been on fire, leading all scorers with 17 points against Hyatts and 18 points against Delaware, providing consistent offense and leadership. Kale Strickland and AJ Gratz have been a force inside, controlling the glass and anchoring the defense with their size and toughness.
Henry Brown and Noah Koski continue to run the show in the backcourt, balancing scoring and playmaking with poise—“taking care of it, scoring it, and distributing it,” as Coach Lloyd put it.
Meanwhile, Landon Will and Turner Smith have kept defenses honest from beyond the arc, staying hot from three and providing a spark whenever the Monarchs need momentum.
Off the bench, Landon Ice, Kaden Shook, Drew Carper, Nathan Koski, and Brody Fowler have delivered reliable minutes, bringing energy, defense, and effort that round out this deep and talented roster.
The Monarchs’ balanced attack and team-first mentality continue to make them one of the top programs to watch in Central Ohio.
Next up, Marysville will travel to Worthingway this Thursday, with the 7th Grade game tipping off at 5:30 PM, followed by the 8th Grade at 6:30 PM.
