Kameron Mercer's Senior Season Brings Cincinnati's Spotlight to Princeton
Updated: 15 hours ago
Princeton • Class of 2027 • Cincinnati-area boys basketball • 2026–27
Kameron Mercer enters the winter with a college commitment, national-team experience and a new class designation. His official website confirms a move into the Class of 2027 and a senior season at Princeton in fall 2026.
A returning player with a story to follow
That update matters when reading older sophomore-season reports. Mercer is now preparing for his final high school winter, with Cincinnati listed as his college choice. The basketball interest is how his experience fits a Princeton group that has also changed around him. National recognition makes the introduction easy; daily lineup responsibilities will determine how much of that talent becomes useful team offense and connected defense.
His official record also includes a gold medal with the USA's 2025 U16 AmeriCup team. That experience belongs beside his school production rather than replacing it. The next Princeton season will ask him to put those experiences to work within the particular responsibilities and combinations of this high school group.

Wolfe Sports outlook
Watch how Princeton handles the possessions that do not begin with a clean advantage. Mercer can be evaluated through his next decision after a defense shows help, his movement after the ball leaves his hands and his involvement on the defensive glass. Those are questions for the coming season, alongside the scoring that already makes him one of the area's most closely followed players.
