Jeffrey Reynolds enters his senior basketball season with a new high school setting and a college destination to work toward.
His recruiting record lists a September 29 commitment to East Tennessee State. The Class of 2027 forward is now at Lakota West, where WCPO reported his enrollment in August after earlier stops at SPIRE Academy and Olentangy Liberty.
The move puts Reynolds in a program coming off a 24–2 season, a 16–0 Greater Miami Conference record and a Division I regional runner-up finish. Senior guard Bryce Curry, who committed to Toledo in July, was among the returners identified in WCPO's report.
That setting creates an interesting senior-year story. Reynolds has the opportunity to contribute to an established program while building relationships with new teammates and preparing for the next level.
His recruiting options included Ohio, Toledo and Kent State, among others. The ETSU commitment provides a clear direction, but his reasons for choosing the program should be explained in his own words when an interview is available.
Until then, the verified story already has substance: a college commitment, a high school transition and a senior season that will establish how he fits within Lakota West's lineup.
Some recruiting profiles still display SPIRE as his school. Current coverage should identify him with Lakota West, consistent with the enrollment report and his updated Prep Hoops profile.
The strongest next interview would explore what he has learned from changing basketball environments, how he is adjusting to Lakota West and what attracted him to ETSU. No direct interview or player quotes are represented in this article.
For Reynolds, the next chapter will take shape through daily work and the upcoming season. His opportunity is to turn an important recruiting milestone into continued growth alongside his new teammates.
