David Lian and Cole Schott: Championship Teams Need the Next Guy Ready
Updated: 2 days ago
The defense does not check your season average before deciding whether to leave you open. Be ready anyway.
David Lian supplied one of Bunsold’s memorable championship moments: a fourth-quarter three in the 2025 win over UA Jones, documented in Lloyd Wolfe’s coaching notes and the original game recap.
Those same season evaluations praised Cole Schott’s passing, shooting, coachability, and willingness to keep the ball moving. They describe the players during their Class of 2029 eighth-grade season.
Together, the stories make a practical point. Roles can be different while preparation remains everyone’s responsibility. Know the action. Be available for the pass. Understand when your open shot is the right team decision.
A championship roster needs people ready when the game reaches them. Wolfe Sports wants those contributions in the conversation, alongside the biggest point totals. Send us verified updates as these players write their next chapters.
