Later in 2026, Rivals reported that Mobley had committed to Ohio State and would reclassify from the 2027 class into 2026. The class change is central to the timeline: she would enter college a year earlier than her original graduating class.

Ohio State's official 2026–27 women's roster now lists Mobley as a freshman forward wearing No. 0, with Sunbury, Ohio as her hometown and Big Walnut as her last school.
The official roster entry confirms the new stage of her path. This report does not present Mobley as a returning Big Walnut high school player for the coming winter. Her Ms. Basketball award belongs to the high school chapter that preceded the reclassification and college roster listing.
